Assessment Roles
Texas A&M University uses the online platform HelioCampus (AEFIS) to document annual Program Assessment Plans and Reports. In addition to Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Evaluation (OIEE) staff who provide programs with feedback and comments at the end of an assessment cycle, there are three other roles involved in the assessment documentation process:
- Program Coordinators: Faculty/instructors who document and submit Assessment Plans and Reports in HelioCampus (AEFIS). Program Coordinators are assigned to one or multiple programs.
- Assessment Liaisons: College, school, or campus appointees who work with OIEE to provide support and communicate expectations to Program Coordinators in their respective college, school, or campus; responsible for providing internal feedback on Assessment Plans and Reports in HelioCampus.
- Final Approvers: Individuals (most often Department Heads and/or Associate Department Heads) who provide the final review of the Assessment Report before submitting to OIEE for end-of-cycle comments. Final Approvers review Reports for all programs within a department.
